In 2011, I probably received five times more emails on Feng shui and Chinese money bags/lucky days than in all the years I have been a consultant. With the loss of an expanding economy, we are reaching out for any luck that will drop into our hands. Good fortune is consistent when its cultivated. There are happy accidents, then there are ancient systems that demonstrate ways to attract good fortune. One of the ways to prepare wisely for the Year of the Water Dragon (1/23/12) is to know your Chinese Zodiac animal. And know its relationship to the Dragon. The harmonies of Dragon will have great luck while other animals will have their share of obstacles, adversities and difficult situations. All of us will have some good months and the bad months we can work to offset these. Work in the sense of 1) improve the Feng Shui in your home and office, 2) do good deeds, 3) set your intentions, 4) perform New Year rituals, and 5) carry the animal talisman for the year. The following animals will feel the heat of the Dragon: Dragon sits in the hot seat, Rabbit and Dog will be in opposition with the Ram and Ox at right angles. Those born with Rat and Monkey will have a relatively auspicious year while Rooster enjoys the most rewards. Tiger, Snake, Horse and Pig are moderately compatible.
