“Working with Bette was an unexpected gift on many levels. I have some moderate exposure to Feng Shui and thought I had an idea of what to expect–I was every wrong. Our sessions far exceeded my expectations. She addressed the needs and challenges of our recently opened, large clinic on many levels, including the ones of which I had yet to be aware.
She came well prepared with abundant information, resources and shared freely her wisdom and deep intuition.

I had provided Bette with the NW Pettygrove clinic floor plan after setting up the initial consult. By the time she arrived, she had clearly analyzed the space, assessed and understood our needs and prepared accordingly. As we walked through the clinic, I was surprised at the level of detail provided in addressing the many and varied areas critical in optimizing clinic functioning including enhancing patient care, supporting front desk staff, strengthening management, increasing finances and attracting resources. Adjustments were made at the exterior entrance which immediately enhanced visibility and helped to “draw” people to the clinic. Per Bette's suggestions, several simple changes were made to the interior entrance with dramatic impact for those entering. The placement of a colorful mobile midway down the corrido of the treatment rooms shifted the feel and energy when accompanying patients into the treatment rooms. Her suggested changes in my office resulted in placement of a selected wall hanging to enhance the daily experience of physical support and positioning of a small plant at a criitcal point to soften the varied and strong energies entering the room. The shift was immediately noticeable for me when present in the office–a subtle yet profound level of support

As she parted I was left with an enhanced excitement about the clinic's future, a feeling of deep personal and professional support and a treasure chest of steps which I could implement–some immediately and others over the next months. The energetic resonance of that support stayed with us throughout our very successful years of tenure and was noted by all who entered the clinic (staff, doctors, students and patients). There was a lot of joy present. Patients would often comment on the laughter and happiness, this despite the number of people coming into the clinic with chronic and/or potentialy life threatening illnesses, including cancer. Perhaps the most unusual phenomenon were the patients who showed up, not for appointments, but to sit in the reception area because it mad them “feel better”. Inviting Bette in for a consultation was one of the single most important things I did in launching the clinic and its mission of “healing and supporting all who entered.”

“I would like to take a minute to share with you, my experiences with the work of Bette Steflik. After 16 years building bars and restaurants in Portland, I ventured onto building a new space at 7th and SE Morrison Street. The building had many challenges from the start, least of which was the sad, dark energy which was left behind (along with the filth) by the previous decades-long tenants. After months of clearing, rebuilding and injecting as much light as I could summon, it was evident that this wasn't a task I could tackle on my own and I felt I was drowning. Then life lead me to Bette.

She had me draw a diagram of my space and asked a few questions (although she could feel by being in and around the space that there was trouble that I was trying to root out). Then she came to do a consultation, with blessings and cures and all of her heartfelt, positive love and gave me a long list of things to move, areas to focus on and fix. I followed all of her instruction, moving the cash register to a power position, placing a crystal above it, a red cloth below it and a mirror to reflect the 'money source' back from across the room...and it immediately affected the days cash intake. She had me 'cure' the wealth corner in my office with wind chimes and red and the business profits continued to grow. We placed a convex mirror above the cooks 'line' to give them 360 degree vision and a 'command position', which empowered them to feel in charge and to take more leadership, less passive roles...it was amazing to watch the transformation. And then most importantly for my own live and health, Bette guided me in bringing people to the business that would love it and want to buy it. Within six weeks, after a lot of wonderful energy had been breathed into the business, two business acquaintances that I'd known through the years, came in for a drink and sat at the bar. During the course of their time there, they really took the place in, spent a lot of time looking around intently and then asked “Sheila if you ever consider selling this business, we would be very interested in buying it”...and that was the beginning of a very fortuitous business transaction for all of us.
